Job Summary:
Histologist in Coos Bay, Oregon. This position involves preparing histologic slides from tissue sections for microscopic examination and diagnosis by pathologists. Candidates are required to bring their certification on the first day. The role requires a thorough understanding of histologic techniques and procedures.
Job Details:
- Location: Coos Bay, OR
- Shift: Days, 8 hours per shift, minimum 40 hours per week
- Start Date: 07/14/2026
- Required Qualifications: Certified Histology Technologist (HT) or Histology Technologist Licensed (HTL) with ASC certification; 5 years of experience as a Histology Technologist; proficiency in embedding, cutting, staining, and grossing small biopsies; grossing experience; Epic AP experience.
- Preferred Qualifications: Demonstrates the ability to operate applicable office equipment, use personal computers and software, maintain confidentiality, and work independently with minimal supervision. Experience dealing effectively interdepartmentally with the public and maintaining regular, punctual attendance.
- Additional Information: Knowledge of histologic techniques, procedures, and safety precautions is essential.
