Job Summary:
The healthcare organization is seeking a Respiratory Therapist Registered (RT RRT/CRT) for a NICU Transport Nurse position in Savannah, Georgia. This role involves providing advanced neonatal respiratory care, including airway management, ventilator operation, and transport physiology. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day of employment.
Job Details:
- Location: Savannah, Georgia
- Schedule: Days shift, 12 hours per shift with a minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: RRT/CRT certification, Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification, Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification; Bachelors degree in Respiratory Therapy or related field; valid state license; minimum of 2 years NICU Transport experience; experience with neonatal airway and ventilator management, transport physiology, equipment troubleshooting, and safety protocols
- Preferred Qualifications: STABLE certification; annual transport competencies
- Float: Float rotation may be required
- Additional Information: The position involves neonatal airway and ventilation management, transport operations, critical neonatal care, and emergency response. Proficiency in documenting transport events, equipment troubleshooting, and managing patient safety during ground and air transport is essential. Candidates must demonstrate strong communication skills, crisis management, and a thorough understanding of transport physiology.
