Job Summary:
A travel Ultrasound Technician position is available in Carlsbad, New Mexico. This role involves performing diagnostic ultrasound procedures across various specialties, including obstetric, general, and echocardiographic imaging. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day of assignment. The position emphasizes high-quality imaging, patient care, and adherence to departmental protocols.

Job Details:

• Location: Carlsbad, NM
• Required certifications: Ultrasound ARDMS; Ultrasound ARRT; NM license; eligible for ECHO license
• Education: Graduate of an accredited American Medical Association (AMA) school
• Certifications: Ultrasound ARDMS; Ultrasound ARRT; NM license
• Schedule: Days, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday; call required, 5-7 days per month
• No floating required
• Ultrasound experience: 2+ years of OB, general, and ECHO (optional)
• EMR: MedHost
• Responsibilities include performing all ultrasound procedures independently, maintaining patient safety and comfort, documenting procedures accurately, and ensuring safe operation of ultrasound equipment.
• Responsibilities also encompass managing supplies and adhering to safety and infection control standards.
• The Ultrasound Technician must be proficient in scanning small parts such as thyroid, breast, and scrotum, along with performing ultrasound-guided biopsies, drainage, thoracentesis, paracentesis, and aspirations.
• No specific minimum years of experience other than the required 2+ years for the role.
