Job Summary:
Radiation Therapist position in Springfield, Missouri. This role involves providing radiation therapy treatments to patients using sophisticated equipment, including Elekta Versas, Varian HDR, and Cyberknife. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day. The position requires a focus on patient safety and comfort, ensuring accurate treatment delivery.
Job Details:
- Location: Springfield, Missouri
- Shift: Days, 5x8, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM or 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM (may depend on patient load)
- Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours
- Duration: 13 weeks
- Certifications: BLS (American Heart Association) from AHA is required; ARRT and RRA are preferred
- Experience: 2 years of Radiation Therapy experience in a hospital setting
- Qualifications: Good communication skills, linac treatment experience including patient setup and imaging; Elekta workflows can be taught on-the-job
- Patient Type: Inpatient and outpatient
- Equipment: Elekta Versas, Varian HDR, Cyberknife, Radixact (installing by August 2024)
- EMR Systems: Mosiaq and EPIC
- Float Requirements: None
- Additional Information: Member of the Radiation Therapy Treatment Team responsible for planning, preparing, and delivering prescribed radiation treatments using sophisticated equipment.
