Job Summary:
The Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory Technologist (CCL TECH) in Brownsville, Texas, is responsible for supporting interventional cardiovascular procedures within a dedicated cardiac catheterization unit. This role involves assisting with complex heart catheterizations, pacemakers, AICD, Watchman procedures, and EP ablations, utilizing advanced equipment in a fast-paced environment.

Job Details:

• Shift: Days, 8-hour shifts, minimum of 40 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Certification in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) certification, with previous experience in Interventional Catheterization, Peripheral and Coronary Cardiovascular procedures.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with electrophysiology (EP) procedures and procedures involving devices such as pacemakers, AICD, Watchman, and EP ablations.
• Unit Information:
  • Location: Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory at a healthcare facility in Brownsville, Texas.
  • Address: 100-A Alton Gloor Blvd, Brownsville, TX 78526.
  • Number of Beds: 2 Cath Labs.
  • Staff: 2 monitor technicians, 2 registered nurses; 2 techs.
  • Patient Ratios: 1:1 during procedures.
  • Equipment: Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump (IABP), Impella, stents, balloons, Intravascular Ultrasound (IVUS), Fractional Flow Reserve (FFR), Ultrasound.
  • Electronic Medical Record (EMR): Meditech.
• Schedule: 8-hour days, including callbacks with a 30-minute response time.
• Additional Information: The unit performs heart caths, interventions, pacemaker placements, AICD, Watchman procedures, and electrophysiology ablations. On-call responsibilities include every other weekend and every other night during the week.
