Job Summary:
A Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) specializing in inpatient care is needed at a healthcare facility located in Walterboro, South Carolina. The selected candidate will be responsible for providing speech therapy services in both inpatient rehabilitation and acute hospital settings. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day of employment.

Job Details:

• Location: Walterboro, South Carolina
• Specialty: Speech Language Pathologist (Inpatient)
• Schedule: Day shift, 8-hour shifts with flexible start and stop times, with an expectation of working one weekend per month and the flexibility to adjust a day during the week
• Required Qualifications: BLS certification, CCC-SLP certification, experience with Modified Barium Swallow Study (MBSS), experience working in an acute hospital setting, and proficiency with Meditech electronic medical record system
• Preferred Qualifications: FEES (Fiberoptic Endoscopic Evaluation of Swallowing) certification, experience with FEES procedures, and experience with FEES certification is preferred
• Responsibilities: Conducting speech therapy assessments and treatments for patients in rehabilitation and acute care units, including procedures such as MBSS and FEES, and documenting patient progress in Meditech
• Additional Information: This position involves floating between a 14-bed rehabilitation unit and a 135-bed acute care hospital that includes a 7-bed intensive care unit. Familiarity with hospital equipment and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment is preferred.
