Job Summary:
The Kansas City, Kansas organization is seeking a Respiratory Therapist (RT PEDS) for a 10-13 week assignment. This role involves providing comprehensive respiratory care, including operating ventilatory equipment, performing procedures such as chest physiotherapy, suctioning, pulmonary function studies, and assisting with complex interventions like bronchoscopy and chest tube placement. Candidates must bring their license on the first day.

Job Details:

• Location: Kansas City, Kansas
• Schedule: Days shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Certifications include Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS); valid respiratory therapy license; no minimum years of experience specified, with a focus on pediatric respiratory care
• Preferred Qualifications: Previous experience in pediatric respiratory therapy is desirable
• Additional Information: The Respiratory Therapist will evaluate patients, recommend treatment plans, operate various ventilatory and monitoring equipment, perform routine and complex procedures, and ensure accurate documentation and communication with physicians. The role emphasizes adherence to policies regarding respiratory and laboratory procedures, as well as CPR standards.
