Description

Job Summary:
The location is in Palo Alto, California. The role is for a Nuclear Medicine Technologist responsible for performing all nuclear medicine procedures on patients of all ages utilizing various types of imaging equipment. The position involves preparing diagnostic and therapeutic radiopharmaceuticals, following current radiation safety guidelines, and assisting in their administration. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day. This position requires a comprehensive understanding of nuclear medicine and PET-CT techniques, safety protocols, and patient positioning.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Days shift, 10 hours per shift, minimum of 40 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications: Valid license/certification as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMT-RHN in California), with certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT-N) or the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB). Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. No minimum years of experience required. Located in Palo Alto, California.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience with nuclear medicine and PET-CT procedures, knowledge of radiologic equipment, and safety principles.
  • Float: Float rotation may be required.
  • Additional Information: The technologist will assist in instructing residents and other technologists, calibrate and prepare radiopharmaceuticals, evaluate image quality, monitor supplies and equipment, perform imaging techniques, and ensure compliance with safety standards. The role may include responsibilities related to clinical and research applications, as well as training and documentation tasks.
