Description

Job Summary:
Interventional Radiology Technician position available in Asheville, North Carolina. This role involves supporting interventional radiology procedures within a busy hospital setting. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day. The position requires prior experience in interventional radiology and neurointerventional radiology, with knowledge of vascular operating room procedures and cath lab experience.

Job Details:

Location: Asheville, North Carolina
Schedule: Dayshift; 8 hours per shift, with a minimum of 40 hours per week
Required Qualifications: Candidates must have previous Interventional Radiology (IR) experience (scrub and circulate), previous neurointerventional Radiology experience (scrub and circulate), vascular operating room experience, cath lab experience, and moderate sedation experience. Certifications include Basic Life Support (BLS).
Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Cerner (Radnet) electronic medical records system.
Float: Float rotation may be required.
Additional Information:
- Unit type: Interventional Radiology
- Typical procedures include dialysis work (Permcaths, fistulagrams), nephrostomy tubes, arteriograms/embolizations, Y-90 therapy, G tubes, TIPS, Inari cases, cerebral arteriograms, coilings, pipelines, mechanical thrombectomies, and vertebroplasties.
- Staff includes 15 technologists plus management and support staff.
- EMR system used is Cerner (Radnet).
- Dress code: Scrubs (hospital provided).
- Weekends and on-call responsibilities: Every 7th weekend, one night secondary call during the week.
