Job Summary:
This interventional radiology technician position is based in Charlotte, North Carolina. The role involves supporting a busy department with high clinical standards, working across a variety of radiology procedures for adult and pediatric patients. The candidate must bring their license on the first day and be prepared to work on a 13-week contract, filling a 24/7/365 schedule with shifts that may include days, evenings, or weekends as needed.

Job Details:

  • Location: Charlotte, North Carolina
  • Schedule: No rotations between weekends and weekdays; travelers will work scheduled shifts per contract on a cycle of 13 weeks. The department is staffed 24/7/365, and shifts include first, second, or third shifts, or weekends, based on current needs.
  • Required Qualifications: BLS certification, ARRT-R (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists - Registered Radiologic Technologist in Radiography), valid license to practice. Candidate must have at least 1 year of clinical experience working in a high-acuity environment.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Good communication skills, helpful attitude, teamwork orientation, ability to work confidently in a fast-paced setting.
  • Additional Information:
    • All departments have a lead technologist, modality supervisor, and imaging manager.
    • Department-specific equipment includes Siemens single-plane, Siemens bi-plane, and Cannon bi-plane machines.
    • No floating is currently required.
    • Orientation involves a facility and departmental tour with introductions, with a flexible 5-day departmental orientation based on traveler needs.
    • On-call responsibilities vary, with rotation among full-time, part-time, PRN, and traveler staff.
    • Scrub color for technologists is black.
    • Free parking is available across several parking decks.
    • The department emphasizes good teamwork, high clinical skill levels, and the ability to function well in a fast-paced environment. Travelers are expected to assist with holiday coverage unless approved off in advance.
