Job Summary:
Cardiac Cath Lab Technologist position in Norfolk, Virginia. This role involves supporting invasive cardiac procedures within a pediatric care environment, requiring a minimum of two years of hands-on experience in a catheterization laboratory setting. The technologist will provide vital technical assistance and maintain compliance with certification and training standards to ensure high-quality patient care.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Days shift, 8 hours per day, with a minimum of 40 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Completion of an accredited Cardiac Technology program (Associate or Baccalaureate in health science), 2 years of related work experience, Pediatric experience preferred, knowledge of invasive procedures, and interpersonal skills for effective communication with medical staff, patients, and families. Must provide a record of a completed diploma or academic transcript.
• Licenses and Certifications: Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Technologist (RCIS) required within 6 months of hire; CPR required and/or obtained within 45 days; PALS and ACLS certifications required and/or maintained within 12 months.
• Additional Information: The role involves supporting invasive cardiac procedures, maintaining certification compliance, and working independently with the ability to accommodate after-hours call coverage. Reference checking involves one verification.
