Job Summary:
Cardiac Cath Lab Technologist position located in Norfolk, VA. This role involves performing invasive cardiovascular procedures within the catheterization laboratory setting. The technologist will provide support for cardiac invasive procedures, ensuring adherence to protocols and maintaining clinical standards. The position requires a dedicated professional with experience in cardiac cath lab procedures and a focus on patient care.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Days, 8-hour shifts, 40 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Completion of an accredited Cardiac Technology program, Associate or Baccalaureate degree in health science, and 2 years of related work experience. Certifications include RCIS (Cardiovascular Credentialing International), CPR (training required within 45 days of hire), PALS, and ACLS (must be obtained and maintained within 12 months of hire). Knowledge of invasive procedures protocols, equipment, and instrumentation specific to cardiac invasive procedures is preferred. Interpersonal skills for effective communication with physicians, nursing personnel, clinicians, support staff, patients, and families are essential. Ability to work independently and accommodate after-hours call coverage. Candidates must provide documentation of their completed diploma or academic transcript if performing complexity testing.
• Preferred Qualifications: Pediatric experience and knowledge of invasive procedures protocols are preferred.
• Additional Information: The role involves working rotating holidays and weekends, with on-call responsibilities for 15 days per month. References: 1 reference in entire work history. Certification must be obtained within specified timelines.
