Description
Job Summary:
This respiratory therapy position is located in Weston, Wisconsin, within a healthcare facility that provides comprehensive inpatient, emergency, and intensive care services. Candidates must be licensed as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) and are required to bring their license on the first day. The role involves working 12-hour night shifts on a rotating schedule, including every third weekend and rotating holidays, with the possibility of covering high-risk deliveries and assisting with various respiratory therapies.
Job Details:
- Schedule: 12-hour night shifts from 0600-1800 and 1800-0600, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Valid license as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) via the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC). Certifications include Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) American Heart Association (AHA), Basic Life Support (BLS) AHA, Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) AHA. Candidates must have at least 1 year of relevant experience.
- Additional Information: Candidates should be comfortable working with ventilators, Bipap machines, performing basic respiratory treatments, EKGs, and assisting with intubations. Experience with ventilator management, ABGs, and teamwork in emergency situations is preferred.
- Clinical Skills: Vents (including PB980, PB840, SurvoU, LTV1200, Hamilton), Bipap/Cpap (V60, ResMed), high-flow systems (Optiflow).
- Orientation: A department-specific orientation includes a one-day shift with a lead to review equipment, a shadow shift, and an additional orientation on the assigned shift.
- Work Environment: The position requires collaboration with a 24/7 hospitalist team and in-house intensivists, with potential coverage for high-risk deliveries and emergency care.
- Special Notes: Must specify in application if the clinician has worked previously for Marshfield; if so, their last work date must be at least six months before the submission date. All clinicians are required to clock in and out at the facility.
