Description
Job Summary:
An MRI Technologist position is available in Louisville, Kentucky. This role involves supporting patients with heavy neuro conditions, including spine surgeries, strokes, and head traumas. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day of employment. The position offers the opportunity to work with advanced imaging equipment and collaborate with radiologists and other MRI technologists. The schedule involves weekend rotation and on-call duties, with a shift time of days.
Job Details:
- Location: Louisville, Kentucky
- Schedule: Shift hours are 12 hours; minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Certification in ARRT (MRI) or AMRIT, BLS certification; Kentucky license (unless grandfathered in); minimum of 1 year of acute care experience involving heavy neuro patients such as spine, strokes, or head traumas.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Cerner electronic medical record system; familiarity with Siemens Vida 3T and GE Signa HDxt 1.5T MRI equipment.
- Float: No float rotation required.
- Additional Information:
- Average patients per day: 40 (6-7 per MRI technologist).
- Patient types include neuro cases, including spine, strokes, and head traumas.
- Support within the department includes radiologists available 24/7 and other MRI technologists; depending on shift, work may involve solo MRI coverage.
- Orientation typically lasts 2 weeks in the department.
- Scrub color: Ceil Blue.
- Parking: Free, badge access parking lot.
- Experience Requirement: 1 year acute experience in MRI or related neuro patient care.
