Job Summary:
An Electroneurodiagnostic (EEG) Technologist position is available in La Crosse, Wisconsin. This role involves preparing patients and performing Electroencephalograms (EEGs) as ordered by physicians, ensuring accurate neurodiagnostic evaluations. The candidate must bring their license on the first day of employment.

Job Details:

  • Location: La Crosse, WI
  • Schedule: 8-hour day shift (7:30am - 4:30pm)
  • Shift Requirements: 8 hours per day, 40 hours per week
  • Minimum Experience: 0 years; 6+ months experience as an Electroneurodiagnostic Technician or Electrodiagnostic Technician
  • Certifications: Registered Electroneurodiagnostic Technologist (REEGT) and American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS)
  • Education: Graduate of an Electroneurodiagnostic or Polysomnographic program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) or Approved ABRET EEG Exam Practice Pathway Track or Associate Degree Track (ABRET : EEG Exam)
  • Travel and Scheduling:
    • Contract duration: 13 weeks
    • Guaranteed hours per week: 16-24 GSA
    • On-call commitments include rotating call coverage from Friday at 4pm to Monday at 7:30am, every other weekend, and as needed for holidays
  • Additional Responsibilities:
    • Perform and assist with EEG procedures, including sleep-deprived EEGs, routine EEGs, long-term monitoring, and inpatient consults
    • Obtain patient histories and provide education and support during procedures
    • Ensure patient safety and maintain accurate documentation and archiving of tests
    • Adhere to safety standards and departmental protocols, including pattern recognition and electrical safety knowledge
    • Maintain consistent attendance and personal interaction with patients
