Description
Job Summary:
The location is in Orange, California. This position is for a Nuclear Medicine Technologist working in an acute care hospital setting. The role involves performing PET scans and general nuclear medicine studies, with the expectation that candidates have at least two years of experience in the specialty. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day of employment.
Job Details:
- Schedule: 8-hour shifts from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday; 4:30 AM to 10:00 PM on Saturdays and Sundays; minimum of 40 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Certifications include Basic Life Support (BLS), Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB), American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Nuclear (N*) and Radiology (R*), California State license, with a minimum of 2 years of experience in Nuclear Medicine. Location requirements include holding a valid California license.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Epic charting system, community hospital experience, and trauma level certifications are preferred.
- Additional Information: Candidates should have experience with Bone, Brain, Cancer Survey, Captopril, Cerebral Blood Flow, DTPA Aerosol, Exercise/Rest protocols, Flow/Function studies, I-123 Uptake Scan, Liver-related scans, Perfusion studies, PET scans, Pharmacological Stress tests, Renal scans, Sestamibi parathyroid scans, and general nuclear medicine procedures.
- On-Call Requirements: Not required, but call shifts are available and may be taken if desired. Call shifts are scheduled for one day per week, with response time of one hour.
- Vaccinations: COVID-19 vaccination is not required; Flu vaccination status is unknown.
- Other requirements: Must include RTO (Request for Time Off) at the time of submission, submit two references covering the last year, and provide proof of recent LA fire card (within last 30 days).
