Description
Job Summary:
The location is in Salinas, California. The role involves providing inpatient Occupational Therapy interventions to patients, including assessments, care planning, and patient and family education. Candidates are required to bring their California Occupational Therapy license on the first day. This position requires a minimum of 3 years of occupational therapy experience, including at least 1 year of NICU experience.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Shifts would be 1 weekend a month, with an 8:00 AM start time, totaling 40 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Masters of Occupational Therapy, California Occupational Therapy license, current Basic Life Support (BLS) or Healthcare Provider status as per American Heart Association standards, minimum of 3 years of occupational therapy experience, and 1 year of NICU experience.
- Preferred Qualifications: None specified.

- Additional Information: Works under the supervision of the Rehabilitation Supervisor and Manager of Rehabilitation Services. Provides occupational therapy interventions to patients, including assessment, care, education, and coordination with case managers for post-discharge services. Performs duties such as assisting in orientation of new staff, instructing and evaluating therapy students, and assuming charge therapist responsibilities. Demonstrates the skills to provide age-appropriate care, including intervention in fine motor skills, self-help skills, development, and durable medical equipment.
