Description

Job Summary:
This position is for a Radiologic Technologist (Rad Tech) located in Louisville, Kentucky. The role involves performing general X-ray imaging, including orthopedics, trauma cases, and portable procedures. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day. The opportunity offers flexible shift options, including 4 ten-hour shifts or 3 twelve-hour shifts per week.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Shifts consist of either four 10-hour shifts or three 12-hour shifts per week.
  • Required Qualifications: Certified with active BLS (Basic Life Support), ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification, and a State license (KBMIRT). No minimum years of experience specified.
  • Preferred Qualifications: O-arm experience and OR (Operating Room) experience are preferred but not mandatory.
  • Float: Yes, staff may float to the emergency room, operating room, and portable imaging throughout the hospital.
  • Additional Information:
    • Average of 266 patients per day, with approximately 20 patients per technologist.
    • Department support includes front desk staff Monday through Friday from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm, and a lead technician present every day during first shift.
    • Coverage is provided 24/7 by RT, hospitalists, and intensivists.
    • Equipment includes Shimadzu, Konica, Fuji, Carestream, GE, Phillips c-arms, and Medtronic o-arm.
    • The department requires a scrubs color of ceiling blue, and parking is available free with badge access.
    • The position includes holiday rotation and weekend work on a variable basis, typically every third weekend.
    • No on-call responsibilities.
    • RTO (Requested Time Off) requests must be approved by the manager.
