Description
Job Summary:
A Mammography Technician position is available in Portland, Oregon. This role involves performing diagnostic and screening mammograms using Hologic equipment, with a focus on patient safety and comfort. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day. The position supports a short-term acute care facility, with the opportunity to float between nearby facilities as needed.
Job Details:
- Location: Portland, OR
- Schedule: 10-hour shifts, minimum of 40 hours per week, starting on 07/27/2026
- Required Qualifications: Certification in BLS and ARRT in Mammography; 1 year of mammography experience; familiarity with Epic Electronic Medical Records system; Oregon state license or pending license; COVID-19 and influenza vaccines (vaccinations not required for variant-specific compliance)
- Preferred Qualifications: Biopsy experience, familiarity with Hologic equipment, experience with diagnostic mammograms, screening mammograms, fine needle aspirations, needle localizations, stereotactic biopsy, and PPE protocols
- Responsibilities: Perform diagnostic and screening mammograms, assist with biopsy procedures, adhere to isolation precautions, and maintain patient safety in inpatient and outpatient settings. Ability to float between facilities and work both inpatient and outpatient units.
- Certifications: BLS, ARRT Mammography Certification
- Additional Information: Must have a vehicle for this assignment. Travelers may be expected to float between sister facilities nearby the contracted facility. Refusal to float may result in termination of the assignment or forfeiture of guaranteed hours.
