Job Summary:
The city of Caldwell, Texas, is seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist (Inpatient) for an acute care setting. The successful candidate will provide therapy services primarily to inpatient and outpatient populations, managing a caseload involving general orthopedics, neuro conditions, wounds, and amputations. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day and must meet the specified qualifications for licensure and certification.

Job Details:

• Location: Caldwell, Texas
• Specialty: Physical Therapist Inpatient (PT IP)
• Schedule: 8-hour shifts, Monday through Friday, with shift times of either 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM or 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM; no weekends and no call responsibilities. Shifts may include float between inpatient and outpatient settings as needed.
• Required Qualifications: Texas state and national license, BLS Certification; minimum of 2 years of experience in physical therapy; experience with inpatient and outpatient therapy; familiarity with MEDITECH electronic medical records system.
• Preferred Qualifications: Wound care experience is preferred but not required.
• Additional Information: Candidates may rotate with staff and should be prepared to discuss their experience during the interview. The unit has a very supportive nursing and therapy team, primarily handling general PT cases including fractures, orthopedic injuries, neuro cases (10-15%), and amputations; acutely ill patients are not treated at this campus. Specialized cases are referred to a sister facility in Bryan, TX. Cancellation of shifts is permissible up to four times in a 13-week assignment or three times for shorter terms.
