Description
Job Summary:
Nuclear Medicine Technologist in Bakersfield, California. This position involves working in a hospital setting performing a variety of nuclear medicine imaging studies. The role requires at least 2 years of experience in nuclear medicine, with responsibilities including cardiac scans, spect scans, bone scans, bleed studies, and gastric emptying procedures.
Job Details:
- Shift: Days, 8-hour shifts, with on-call rotating after 4:30 PM on weekdays, rotating weekends, and rotating holidays.
- Schedule: 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, minimum of 40 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Certification in BLS; minimum of 2 years' experience; valid license submission needed; flexible to float to a nearby facility approximately 6.5 miles away.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with GE, Phillips, Siemens radiology equipment; familiarity with Cerner charting system; leadership role as Lead Tech preferred.
- Additional Information: Department has one scanner/room, performs 5-10 scans/studies daily, and utilizes Radnet and Merge Unity for EMR and PACS. The department is supervised by a Radiology Supervisor or Lead Tech. No start IVs required, radiologists are on-site, and scrubs are provided in teal. Cancellations are permitted up to 4 shifts in a 13-week assignment or 3 shifts for shorter durations.
