Job Summary:
Respiratory Therapist Registered (RT PEDS) position available in West Valley City, Utah. This role involves administering respiratory therapy services, including diagnostic testing such as arterial blood gases (ABGs), pulmonary function tests (PFTs), and electrocardiograms (EKGs). Candidates must bring their license on the first day and possess the required certifications and experience to perform patient assessments, care planning, and therapy evaluation. The position requires a commitment to a night shift and flexibility for overtime, on-call coverage, and variable hours as dictated by departmental and facility policies.

- Required Qualifications: Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) via the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC); Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA); Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the AHA; Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP); Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS); valid license to submit; minimum of 2 years of respiratory therapy experience preferred; one year of respiratory therapy experience required; prior use of electronic medical records (EMR) preferred; location required in Utah.
- Schedule: Nights, 12 hours, minimum 36 hours per week, with the possibility of flexible hours before and after standard shifts, and overtime in excess of 40 hours per week.
- Additional Information: Responsible for patient assessments, care plans, and testing including ABGs, PFTs, EKGs, and pulse oximetry. May be the only respiratory therapist in-house at times. Position may require work outside standard hours, including on-call coverage. The hospital can cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment or 3 shifts for shorter assignments.
