Ultrasonographer General (Sonographer) position available in Richmond, Virginia. This travel role involves performing OB/GYN ultrasounds in a perinatal care unit at a healthcare facility. The position requires a dedicated professional with at least two years of hospital experience and specialized certifications. The work schedule is during daytime hours, with a standard workweek of 40 hours.
Job Details
- Schedule: Day shift, 8 hours per day, minimum 40 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Certifications include ARDMS, BLS, and OB/GYN certification. Candidates must have at least two years of experience in a hospital setting performing detailed fetal exams, OB/GYN ultrasound, and fetal echo procedures. Education requirements meet industry standards.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience in Maternal Fetal Medicine Office or OB GYN office, fetal echo experience, and a flexible, customer-focused team player personality.
- Additional Information: The role involves using advanced ultrasound equipment including E8s, E10s, Expert 22s, and EMR systems such as Viewpoint and Expanse. The work environment is clinical and patient-centered, serving approximately 10-12 patients per technician daily. The dress code is navy blue scrubs. Tenured sonographers with 15+ years of service are recognized within the unit.
