Pharmacist Inpatient in Wisconsin Rapids, WI. This contract position involves managing pharmacy operations within an inpatient hospital setting, providing services such as inpatient and outpatient intravenous medications, unit dose medications, and outpatient chemotherapy. The role requires a proactive and resilient professional capable of handling multiple responsibilities in a central inpatient pharmacy environment.

Job Details:

• Location: Wisconsin Rapids, WI
• Schedule: Day shift, 10 hours per day, with some flexibility (7:00 AM 5:00 PM)
• Hours: Guaranteed 40 hours per week
• Contract Length: 13 weeks, starting on 11/02/2026 and ending on 01/30/2027
• Certifications: WI Pharmacist License
• Education: Bachelors Degree in Pharmacy
• Experience: Minimum 3 years of inpatient hospital experience; no minimum experience specified in the job order, but a minimum of 1 year is implied
• Responsibilities include verifying EPIC orders, checking technician work, answering pharmacist phone calls, and managing multiple responsibilities in a high-volume inpatient setting
• Inpatient census typically ranges from 30-40 patients
• Unit-specific skills include managing inpatient and outpatient services such as oncology, Med/Surg, ICU, OB/GYN, and ED
• Additional notes:
  • No float requirements
  • No on-call or callback required, except for potential use of low census hours and callback on call back.
  • 36 hours of unbillable low census hours are available during low census periods.
  • During flu season, staff declining vaccination must wear masks at all times, per policy.
  • Attire: Business casual, no lab coats.
