Job Summary:
Respiratory Therapist (RT) specializing in Pediatric (PEDS) care is needed in Iron Mountain, Michigan. This inpatient ER position involves responding to emergencies such as code blues, c-sections, and conscious sedations. Candidates must bring their license on their first day and be prepared to work as the sole RT in the house. The position requires a commitment to 12-hour shifts, including days and nights, with no blocked scheduling, and is suitable for those with previous travel experience.

- Certifications Required: Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (AHA), Basic Life Support (AHA), Neonatal Resuscitation Program, Pediatric Advanced Life Support (AHA), Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) via National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC)
- Education / Experience: 0 years minimum experience required; candidates must have at least 2 years of experience responding to RRT and codes, and be comfortable working independently as the only RT in-house.
- Required Qualifications: Certification in ACLS, BLS, NRP, PALS; licensed as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) through NBRC; minimum 2 years of relevant experience; must be able to respond to emergencies such as code blues and c-sections; able to work independently.
- Additional Information: Must note if the clinician has previously worked for Marshfield, with an end date at least 6 months prior to submission. All clinicians are required to clock in and out at the facility.
- Float: Within the hospital.
- Scrub Code/Dress Code: Can wear own scrubs; dispensers provided onsite; street clothes permitted into work.
- Hospitalist or Intensivist in House: Hospitalist during day, telemedicine at night; ER doctor in house 24/7.
- Department Specific Orientation: 2 days to familiarize with equipment and department.
- Notes: Must be comfortable working independently as the only RT.
