Description
Job Summary:
Palo Alto, California Radiation Therapist. This position involves delivering radiation therapy treatments as prescribed by the Radiation Oncologist, including patient simulation, equipment preparation, and treatment documentation. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Days shift, 8 hours per day, minimum 40 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS), registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in Radiation Therapy (ARRT-RTT), and registration as a Certified Radiation Therapist (CRT-T); licensed Radiation Therapist; California state licensure; no minimum years of experience required
- Preferred Qualifications: Not specified
- Float: Float rotation may be required
- Additional Information: The role requires knowledge of modern radiation therapy equipment and systems including simulation, imaging, and treatment procedures. Candidates should have a thorough understanding of human anatomy and proper patient positioning, safety and quality control principles, and the ability to lead and mentor support staff. Strong clinical reasoning, departmental safety initiatives, and effective communication skills are essential.
