Description
Job Summary:
Radiologic Technologist position in Montrose, Colorado. This role involves performing a variety of technical tasks related to operating radiographic equipment and making radiographs of designated anatomical areas. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day. The work schedule includes 80 hours per pay period, primarily during daytime hours with call and holiday coverage.
Job Details:
- Location: Montrose, Colorado
- Schedule: 12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week, Days shift, including call and holiday coverage
- Required Qualifications: Completion of an American Medical Association (AMA) approved School of Radiology Technology; one year experience preferred; knowledge of anatomy and physiology as it relates to radiologic exams; ability to effectively communicate verbally and non-verbally; strong interpersonal skills and sound judgment; ability to maintain confidentiality and perform detailed work; ability to work harmoniously with others; ability to make decisions under pressure and meet deadlines; high school diploma or equivalent required.
- Preferred Qualifications: One year of radiologic technology experience is preferred.
- Additional Information: The role includes performing technical tasks, adjusting equipment for optimal radiographic exposure according to radiation safety guidelines, explaining procedures to patients, positioning patients appropriately, assisting physicians with fluoroscopic and special radiographic procedures, processing images for quality, and providing education and training to radiology students and new technologists.
