Description
Job Summary:
The region of Tupelo, Mississippi, is seeking a Cardiac Echo Sonographer for a clinical role in echocardiography. The sonographer will be responsible for conducting a variety of echocardiography procedures, ensuring accurate charting, maintaining inventory, and participating in performance improvement activities. Candidates must bring their license on the first day of work.
Job Details:
- Location: Tupelo, Mississippi
- Schedule: Mon-Sun; 8-hour days with rotating weekend coverage, 40 hours per week, plus rotating on-call for weeknights (4:30 PM to 7:00 AM), and weekends (Saturday 24 hours, Sunday 24 hours, 7:00 AM to 7:00 AM)
- Required Qualifications: ARSMS-RDCS (Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonography) and RCS (CCI Cardiovascular credentialing international) credentials on file at the time of submission. Must have a minimum of 2 years experience in adult and pediatric echocardiography. BLS certification is required; ACLS and PALS are preferred.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with IV start, Bubble Studies and Contrast, TEE probe manipulation, intra-operative structural heart procedures, transthoracic pediatric echo, and adult TEE/TTE.
- Additional Information: The role involves educational and in-service training, performing echocardiography procedures, charting, maintaining inventory, and participating in performance improvement initiatives. Scrubs are charcoal grey, no joggers, and EMR systems include Epic and Charge Healthcare Cardiology.
