Description
Job Summary:
The organization is seeking a Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory Technologist for a position in Pensacola, Florida. This role involves supporting the cath lab with procedures such as coronary interventions, PPM insertions, and EP studies. The candidate will work a day shift schedule, contributing to patient care within a state-of-the-art cardiovascular unit dedicated to advanced procedures and patient safety.
Job Details:
- Schedule: 10-hour shift, 4-10 hours daily, with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Valid state licensure, BLS (Basic Life Support), ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), one year of experience in a cath lab setting.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with sedation, atherectomy, intravascular ultrasound (IVUS), thrombectomy procedures, and RCIS (Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist) certification is a plus. Scrubbing and monitoring skills are welcome but not mandatory.
- Additional Information: The catheterization lab comprises four rooms and a holding area, staffed by two cardiovascular analysts, ten registered nurses, and six radiologic technologists. Equipment includes GE imaging systems, with documentation managed through Merge Hemodynamics and Meditech electronic medical records. Responsibilities involve assisting with coronary interventions, device insertions, and electrophysiology procedures. Local policies include no floating requirement, and staffing levels are aligned with patient safety standards.
