Job Summary:
Respiratory Therapist Registered (RT PEDS) in Johnson City, New York. This position involves providing comprehensive respiratory therapy services to pediatric and adult patients in a healthcare facility. The role requires delivering a wide range of interventions including aerosol therapy, ventilator management, and life support procedures, ensuring patient safety and quality care in a fast-paced environment.

Job Details:

• Certifications, Education Requirements, Degree Requirements, Location Requirements, and Years of Experience: Graduation from an accredited School for Respiratory Therapy, New York State Respiratory Therapy Permit or License, Registered by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) as a Respiratory Therapist, and BLS (AHA, HSI, or American Red Cross) and ACLS Certification from American Heart Association (AHA). Up to three (3) years of experience required.
• Schedule: Nights and every other weekend; 36 hours per week, 13-week assignment.
• Required Qualifications: Critical care experience, NICU experience, proficiency with V60 BiPAP/980 Puritan Bennett Ventilators, and EPIC system familiarity. Ability to participate in external patient transports.
• Preferred Qualifications: One (1) year experience as a Respiratory Therapist.
• Additional Information: The position involves performing various respiratory procedures including oxygen therapy, ventilator management, pulmonary function screening, EKG procedures, and life support certifications. Responsibilities include verifying physician orders, managing patient healthcare information systems, and assisting in departmental training programs.
