Description

Job Summary
The organization is seeking a qualified Ultrasonographer specializing in Echocardiography (Echo) for a facility located in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. This position involves performing comprehensive cardiac ultrasound studies, including transthoracic echocardiograms, stress echo, transesophageal echocardiograms, and Doppler assessments. The role requires collaboration within a high-volume, academic medical environment that emphasizes both portable and in-lab cardiac imaging.

Job Details

  • Shift: Evenings, 8 hours per shift, with a minimum of 40 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications: Certification as a Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS or RCS or ACS through CCI), BLS certification, two years of experience in cardiac ultrasound studies, including 2D, Doppler, color flow, 3D, strain, and contrast studies; preferred skills include stress echo and interventional procedures; valid driver's license may be required
  • Preferred Qualifications: PALS and ACLS certifications, experience with IV management, knowledge of echocardiography equipment including Philips and GE systems, and familiarity with EMR systems such as EPIC and Encompass
  • Additional Information: The position supports a multidisciplinary team including dedicated educators and chief sonographers. Clinical responsibilities include performing and interpreting advanced cardiac ultrasound procedures for patients with conditions such as heart failure and post-transplant evaluations. The department maintains a patient-family-focused, high-quality, fast-paced, academic environment with a balance of portable and in-lab studies.
