Job Summary:
Occupational Therapist Assistant (OT Assistant) position in a Skilled Nursing Facility located in Mound City, Missouri. This role involves providing evidence-based rehabilitative and medically necessary treatment interventions to patients with cognitive and physical functioning disorders under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist. The position offers a full-time schedule with daytime hours.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Days, 8 hours per shift, minimum of 40 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Active State Licensure/Registration as an Occupational Therapist Assistant, at least 1 year of OTA experience with LTC or rehab settings, COTA license, and relevant certifications.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience working in Skilled Nursing Facilities and familiarity with clinical documentation practices.
• Additional Information: Responsibilities include supporting clinical interventions, administering treatment procedures such as ADL retraining, therapeutic activities and exercises, modalities, and supportive device use. Assessing patient progress, communicating with the supervising Occupational Therapist, documenting all clinical information, participating in team meetings, and supporting students under supervision are essential components of this role. Candidates must adhere to NBCOT / AOTA and State practice acts, ethics, and conduct requirements.
