Description

Job Summary:
Nuclear Medicine Technologist position available in a healthcare facility located in Wausau, Wisconsin. This position involves performing general nuclear medicine studies, including common exams such as bone scans, renal scans, HIDA, gastric emptying, thyroid, lymphoscintigraphy, cardiac, and parathyroid imaging. The role requires working with Siemens equipment, including Symbia Evo SPECT, Symbia Intevo SPECT/Computed Tomography, and Capintec Thyroid probes. The candidate will be responsible for operating imaging equipment, following prescribed protocols, and ensuring quality patient care.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: 8-hour days starting between 6 and 8 am, with occasional flexibility.
  • Required Qualifications: Associate Degree or Certificate, BLS certification, ARRT (Nuclear Medicine) or CNMT certification (AHA or ARC certifications required), 1-2 years of experience in nuclear medicine, knowledge of performing SPECT/CT and PET/CT imaging; trainee opportunities available for specific equipment and procedures.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Siemens Biograph Vision X PET/CT Scanner.
  • Float: Float rotation may be required to other facilities such as Aspirus Merrill, Antigo, Medford, or Stanley if needed.
  • Additional Information:
    • Minimum of 40 hours guaranteed per week, with hours during holidays and low census periods.
    • May be put on call for low census hours, with a minimum 2-hour callback.
    • During flu season, unvaccinated travelers are required to wear masks at all times according to facility policy.
    • Travelers can be scheduled on call for low census hours, which will count toward unbillable hours.
    • The role involves working with specific imaging equipment and performing a variety of nuclear medicine studies efficiently and accurately.
