Description
Job Summary:
Radiation Therapist in Eureka, California. This position involves providing radiation therapy treatments to adult patients, including those with breast, prostate, lung, and head and neck cancers. The role requires delivering high-quality patient care within an acute care hospital setting, supporting interdisciplinary teams, and following established clinical protocols.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Days shift, 8 hours per day, minimum of 40 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: 1 year of experience as a Radiation Therapist, valid California license in hand, ARRT Radiation Therapy certification, Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, specific experience with Epic charting system, and proficiency in adult acute care settings
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Stereotactic Radiosurgery (SRS), Stereotactic Body Radiotherapy (SBRT), and Intensity Modulated Radiotherapy (IMRT); familiarity with Elekta equipment; experience working in a hospital environment with diverse interdisciplinary support services
- Additional Information: Traveler must be willing to work 2 out of the 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year). Travelers are expected to float between hospital units or nearby affiliate hospitals. Certification copies and two references covering at least one year within the last three years are required. Candidates should plan to complete pre-start modules, which are non-billable and average 16 hours, recorded in Workramp transcripts. Local radius rule of 50 miles applies for candidate acceptance.
