Job Summary:
The MRI Technologist is a healthcare professional responsible for performing high-quality magnetic resonance imaging studies in a clinical setting. This role involves ensuring patient safety, providing effective communication with patients and radiologists, and operating advanced MRI equipment. The position is based in Garner, North Carolina, with a focus on delivering accurate diagnostic images while maintaining patient care standards.

Job Details:

• Position: MRI Technologist
• Location: Garner, North Carolina
• Schedule: 12-hour shifts, with a guaranteed 36 hours per week; primarily working every Sunday during the contract period
• Start Date: 07/27/2026
• Required Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED; Associates Degree or equivalent experience preferred; CPR certification through the American Heart Association; ARRT (R) certification required, ARRT (MR) preferred; Venipuncture Certification; valid state drivers license if applicable; at least 1 year of MRI experience in high-volume environments preferred; technical proficiency with GE 1.5T or similar equipment; proficiency in independently running advanced MRI studies; ability to work in a self-directed environment; experience in managing customer interactions and resolving issues; strong patient care skills with ability to explain complex procedures clearly; local travel may be required.
• Additional Information: The technologist will operate imaging equipment to produce diagnostic images, interview patients to explain procedures, and ensure safety protocols are followed. Responsibilities include troubleshooting equipment, training new staff, and maintaining effective communication with radiologists and patients. The role requires a strong focus on patient safety, technical proficiency, and independent problem-solving skills.
