Job Summary:
Respiratory Therapist Registered (RT PEDS) in Martinsburg, West Virginia. This position involves providing respiratory care to pediatric, adult, and neonatal patients within a Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and other hospital floors. The role requires independent adult intubation skills, ventilator management, and comprehensive patient assessments to support physician orders and treatment plans.

Job Details:

• Schedule: 12-hour days, with weekend and holiday rotations as scheduled; minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Certification in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association; Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP); Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS); Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) verification with a minimum of two years of experience; ability to independently intubate adults; prior NICU experience including ventilators; experience caring for pediatric and neonatal patients; willingness to consider candidates with NICU experience but no pediatric experience; candidate must hold a license that is willing to wait for submission.
• Preferred Qualifications: Previous NICU experience preferred; experience with EPIC electronic medical record system.
• Additional Information: The role involves assessing patients' respiratory needs, planning and administering treatments such as oxygen therapy, airway management, mechanical ventilation, postural drainage, nebulizers, and ABGs. RTs will perform EKGs during off-hours and weekends. Vents include Servo U, Hamilton G5, T1, and other non-invasive ventilators. The work environment prioritizes teamwork, patient safety, and high-quality care, with responsibilities including equipment setup, treatment administration, and patient evaluation.
