Description
Job Summary:
Respiratory Therapist Registered (RT PEDS) position located in Portland, Maine. This full-time role involves working within a busy respiratory therapy department, providing specialized care for pediatric, adult, and critical care patients in a tertiary, teaching hospital setting. The position offers an opportunity to work on a night shift schedule with varied clinical responsibilities, including equipment management and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Nights, 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM, minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: 3+ years of experience, current BLS certification, ACLS preferred, NRP for NICU, Respiratory Therapist Registered (RRT) certification, educational requirements as specified, located in Portland, ME
- Preferred Qualifications: NICU/PICU experience, cardio-thoracic, acute care pediatrics, and emergency department experience, flexible, team-oriented, and communicative personality traits
- Float: Float rotation may be required, including NICU/PICU and adult critical care units
- Additional Information: Must have tertiary, teaching hospital experience, level 1 trauma designation. The assignment involves working every other weekend and participating in the call rotation (approximately one call shift per month). Candidate must be flexible and a team player, with strong communication skills. Scrub color will be provided or flexible. Reasonable scheduling preferences may be considered, but only approved requested time off documented in the contract is guaranteed.
