Description
Job Summary:
Respiratory Therapist Registered (RRT) position available in Boston, Massachusetts. This role involves providing critical care services in an adult ICU and emergency department setting within a Level 1 trauma center. The position offers a 12-hour night shift schedule, with a minimum of 36 hours per week, and requires working every other weekend, along with 2 call shifts and holiday commitments.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Nights shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Respiratory Therapist License, Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) registration, Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, at least 2 years of experience in adult critical care and emergency department settings, proficiency in advanced ventilator management including esophageal balloons, PV loop interpretation, driving pressure assessment, and PEEP maneuvers. Experience in a Level 1 trauma center within a hospital with over 400 beds is required.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with trauma, neuro, cardiac, surgical, or medical intensive care units; knowledge of ventilators including Hamilton G5, C6, T1, MR1, Phillips EV300; familiarity with electronic medical record systems like EPIC.
- Additional Information: Orientation sessions are held weekly on Mondays. The candidate must be available for on-call as needed. Local candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility cannot be considered. No recent employment within the last 6 months as a perm or travel staff for the same facility. Parking expenses up to $43 per day may apply.
