Description

Job Summary:
The organization is seeking a qualified Ultrasonographer Echo (Ultrasound Technician specializing in echocardiography) in Burlington, Vermont. This on-call, rotating day/night shift position involves providing specialized pediatric echocardiography services across inpatient, outpatient, and ICU patient populations. The role requires independence and confidence in performing scans in critical care environments, with responsibilities extending to family-centered care.

Job Details:

  • Shift Schedule: Rotating Day/Night shifts with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
  • Required Qualifications: ARDMS or CCI credential in pediatric echocardiography (RDCS-PE or RCS-PE) required; minimum of 3 years of independent pediatric echo scanning experience required; experience in fetal echocardiography preferred; strong knowledge of complex congenital heart disease, cardiac surgical repairs, and pediatric cardiac anatomy; ability to scan independently in critical care areas (Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, Pediatric Intensive Care Unit) required; experience with pediatric patients and family-centered care.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience with fetal echocardiography is preferred; recent EPIC electronic medical record experience within the past 2 years is required.
  • Additional Information: The role involves work Sunday through Saturday without block scheduling. All employment history details, including bed count, electronic medical records, and facility type, must be accurately provided; employment gaps over 30 days should be explained. The position is on-call every weekend with specified hours, providing 36 hours of pay weekly regardless of call-in activity. Reliable transportation is strongly recommended as public transportation is not accessible in this area.
