Job Summary
Respiratory Therapist (Registered) in Washington state. This position involves providing respiratory care services for adolescent, adult, and geriatric patient populations within a dedicated healthcare facility. The role supports a team-oriented environment with a focus on critical care and patient wellbeing.
Job Details
- Shift Schedule: Days shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Valid Washington state license; Certifications in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS); 0 years of experience.
- Special Procedures and Equipment: Administration of aerosol set-up masks and trachs, Arterial blood gas sampling, Mechanical ventilation management including Puritan Bennett and Drger ventilators, Non-invasive ventilation such as BiPAP, CPAP, and High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC), Simulation of respiratory conditions, Neonatal & Pediatric transports, Troubleshooting ventilator alarms, and Delivery of respiratory therapy in high-acuity settings.
- Unit and Patient Care Details: Support includes interdisciplinary teams such as IV, Physical Therapy, Respiratory, Radiology, and Social Services. Care encompasses all age groups with a focus on family maternity and obstetric experience, and C-section support.
- Additional Requirements: Experience with arterial punctures, medication administration, and special respiratory procedures like ECMO and Nitric Oxide are required.
- Scheduling & Float: The position involves a block schedule with weekend shifts every other week and inter-unit float between sister facilities as needed. Applicants must adhere to system and facility policies regarding time off requests and floating.
