Description
Job Summary:
Respiratory Therapist (Registered) specializing in Pediatric (PEDS) care is sought for a healthcare facility located in Tulsa, Oklahoma. This night-shift position involves providing critical respiratory support to adult and geriatric patients within a large hospital setting that includes specialty units such as Burn ICU and Cardiac ICU. The role requires a versatile Respiratory Therapist capable of managing a variety of respiratory procedures and equipment in a fast-paced environment.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Nights, 12 hours shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Valid Oklahoma license, NBRC (National Board for Respiratory Care) certification as RRT (Registered Respiratory Therapist) or CRT (Certified Respiratory Therapist), BLS (Basic Life Support), ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), Pediatric NIC (Neonatal Intensive Care) certifications required in hand, minimum 1 year of relevant experience, graduate of an accredited respiratory therapy education program (CoARC or CAAHP) with at least 20 quarter hours of science coursework
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience in adult critical care, emergency department, and pulmonary procedures such as extubation, intubation assist, and bronchoscopies
- ** float:** Unless specifically stated otherwise, travelers will be expected to float to like units within their scope, as needed based on facility needs. Travelers will receive brief orientation on the unit. Modules are non-billable, and all hours are factored in.
- Additional Information: The facility supports interdisciplinary respiratory services and uses equipment like Nitric- NOxBox (Ventilator, HHFNC, and BiPAP setups). The unit handles diverse patient diagnoses for adult and geriatric populations, including high-acuity cases such as ARDS, COVID-19, and post-surgical ventilation procedures.
