Description

Job Summary:
Respiratory Therapist Registered (RT PEDS) in Princeton, West Virginia. This role involves providing respiratory care across inpatient and outpatient settings, with a focus on adult patients and some pediatric and neonatal cases. The position offers a rotating shift schedule and requires experience in ICU, ER, or inpatient adult respiratory therapy.

Job Details:

  • Shift: Rotating shifts; 12-hour shifts; minimum of 36 hours per week.
  • Required Qualifications: Respiratory Therapist (RT) registered through NBRC with ACLS, BLS (American Heart Association), PALS, STABLE certification, and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP). Must have at least 2 years of experience in ER, ICU, or inpatient adult respiratory therapy.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Pediatric experience is preferred; training on pediatric cases will be provided.
  • Scheduling: Set schedule with shifts from 6:45 AM to 7:15 PM and 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM. Every other weekend required; holiday work included if scheduled.
  • Additional Information: Responsibilities include breathing treatments, ventilator management, arterial blood gas (ABG) sampling, and performing electrocardiograms (EKGs). Assistance in intubation is required; independent intubation is not necessary. The team includes a lead therapist or supervisor for questions. Travel staff may be scheduled to work across all inpatient areas, ED, and outpatient procedures.
  • Department Notes: The facility maintains an open ICU with two pulmonologists and hospitalist coverage 24/7. Orientation includes general and classroom training followed by shadowing with a preceptor for approximately three days.
  • Licensing: Candidates must submit a valid license and include an unexpired driver's license with submission. Disclose all licensing hits at submission.
