Description

Job Summary:
Physical Therapist Outpatient (PT OP) position located in Juneau, Alaska. This role involves providing general physical therapy evaluations and treatments across a diverse patient population, working both in outpatient and inpatient settings. The therapist will oversee and direct support staff, collaborate with the healthcare team, and develop comprehensive treatment plans to optimize patient outcomes.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Rotating shift, 10 hours per shift, with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
  • Required Qualifications: Entry-level qualifying masters or doctorate degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program or graduation from an APTA approved program of Physical Therapy at the masters or bachelors level with 2 years proven work and Continuing Education experience; licensed as a Physical Therapist; current Basic Life Support certification; valid drivers license.
  • Additional Information: Must have an active Alaska license at the time of submission. Provides general Physical Therapy evaluations and treatments to a wide range of ages and diagnoses. Collaborates with interdisciplinary teams, documents patient care, and facilitates patient education and self-care strategies. Utilizes hospital computer systems for documentation and communication. Maintains supply stocks and clinical equipment, stays current with billing procedures, and adheres to all practice standards set by the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA). Assists in administrative, clinical, and educational activities as assigned.
