Job Summary:
The X-ray Technologist is responsible for obtaining diagnostic radiographic examinations at a technical level not requiring constant supervision. This role involves positioning patients, selecting appropriate technical factors, operating imaging equipment, and adhering to safety protocols for radiation exposure. The position requires working a night shift at a healthcare facility located in North Bergen, New Jersey.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Nights, Monday-Friday, 11:00 PM - 7:30 AM, with rotating weekends.
• Required Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent; completion of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology; completion of clinical and American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) requirements; must possess New Jersey State License; able to meet the requirements for the National Registry and pass such examination.
• Preferred Qualifications: N/A
• Additional Information: The technologist will perform portable x-ray examinations in various hospital settings, prepare radiopaque contrast media, and assist physicians with procedures. Will also handle administrative duties related to scheduling, record keeping, and patient instruction. Candidates should demonstrate excellent communication, adaptability, empathy, and strong interpersonal skills, with proficiency in computer skills and image quality control. The position requires standing for at least 6 hours a day, lifting a minimum of 5 lbs., and pushing/pulling a minimum of 10 lbs.
