Job Summary:
Physical Therapist Outpatient (PT OP) position in Kaunakakai, Hawaii. This role involves providing outpatient physical therapy services, with a focus on acute care settings. The candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care, adhering to established protocols, and collaborating with the healthcare team to meet patient recovery goals.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Days shift, 10 hours per day, with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications:
  • Graduate of an accredited physical therapy program
  • Master's degree in physical therapy; Doctorate (DPT) preferred
  • Current Hawaii State license as a Physical Therapist
  • Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS)/Health Care Provider (HCP) level
  • Two (2) or more years of professional physical therapy experience in an acute care setting with both inpatients and outpatients prior to any travel assignments
  • All licenses and certifications must be current and valid through the end of the initial contract
  • Compliance must be completed and uploaded to the Medefis portal at least 10 days before the start date
  • A current NURSYS report must be included with all submissions
• Additional Information:
  • The organization is open to Hawaii residents but they will not be offered traveler rates
  • If the RN is not needed on their unit or similar unit as an RN, the candidate may be assigned as a nursing assistant or safety sitter and is expected to fulfill that role
  • The start date for this assignment is 08/17/2026
