Job Summary:
Respiratory Therapist Registered (RT PEDS) in Grand Rapids, Michigan. This position involves providing comprehensive respiratory care, administering treatments, monitoring patient responses, and assisting with related procedures within a healthcare facility. The role requires evaluation of patient status, education of patients and families, and ensuring the safe operation of ventilatory equipment, all within the scope of professional licensing.
Job Details:
- Location: Grand Rapids, Michigan
- Schedule: Nights shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Certifications, Education Requirements, Degree Requirements, Location Requirements, and at least 1 year of related experience
- Preferred Qualifications: None specified
- Additional Information: Responsibilities include operating ventilatory equipment, performing chest physiotherapy, suctioning, monitoring oxygenation and ventilation, reviewing chest x-rays, conducting pulmonary function tests, assisting with invasive procedures such as bronchoscopy and chest tube placement, performing tracheostomy care, arterial puncture, and adhering to laboratory policies for specimen handling and testing. Must perform CPR according to BLS and ACLS guidelines, manage mechanical ventilation, handle equipment maintenance, document treatments and responses accurately, and communicate effectively with healthcare team members.
