Job Summary:
The Pediatrics specialty position is located in Baltimore, Maryland. The role involves providing nutritional care for pediatric patients, requiring experience working with children in a clinical setting. This position is to be filled by a qualified dietitian with relevant pediatric experience to support patient management and education.

Job Details:

• Shift: Days, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.
• Schedule: 8 hours per day with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
  • Credentialed as a Registered Dietitian (RD) by the Commission on Dietetic Registration.
  • Licensed as a Dietitian-Nutritionist (LDN) in Maryland.
  • Two or more years of clinical experience as a Registered Dietitian, including at least one year in a specialty area.
  • Prior employment experience in any Johns Hopkins health system facility, with at least a full year elapsed if previously employed as a staff, perm, or PRN employee and now applying as a traveler.
• Preferred Qualifications:
  • Pediatric experience.
  • ICU and Nutrition Support experience.
• Additional Information:
  • The position involves applying knowledge of food science, biochemistry, physiology, management science, behavioral science, and social science as they relate to human nutrition and metabolism.
  • The role requires effective communication with interdisciplinary teams, patients, and families, and may involve counseling and patient education.
  • Candidates should be able to interpret age-specific responses and utilize computer systems for data entry and retrieval.
