Description
Job Summary:
Hawaii based Nuclear Medicine Technologist position involves performing advanced nuclear medicine imaging procedures, including radiopharmaceutical preparation, camera quality control, and EKG monitoring for cardiac exams. The role requires compliance with all applicable licensing and certification standards to deliver high-quality patient care in a dynamic clinical environment.
Job Details:
- Location: HILO, Hawaii
- Schedule: Day shift, 8-hour shifts, scheduled 40 hours weekly following the first week of orientation
- Required Qualifications: 3 years of experience; valid ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) or CNMT (Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist) credential in Nuclear Medicine, BLS (Basic Life Support) certification, and Hawaii license must be acquired prior to start date for candidates not currently licensed in Hawaii
- Specific Duties: Radiopharmaceutical preparation, camera quality control, general nuclear medicine imaging, EKG prep and monitoring for cardiac exams, receiving and documenting radioactive shipments, NRC (Nuclear Regulatory Commission) required daily and weekly quality controls
- Equipment Utilized in the Unit/Department: Siemens dual-headed electronic carbon atom monitor (ECAM) with ESOFT processing, CAPTUS 3000, NMISGE MAC 5000
- Additional Information: Candidates must arrive the Thursday before the start date to attend employee health appointment on Friday. Floating to other units or departments may be required based on competency and licensure. Dress code includes scrubs, street clothes, and lab coat.
