Job Summary:
Respiratory Therapist Registered (RT PEDS) located in Walla Walla, Washington. This position involves providing specialized respiratory care to a diverse patient population within a short term acute care facility. The role includes working night shifts with a minimum of 48 hours per week, supporting various pediatric and adult patients with complex respiratory needs.

Job Details:

Position: Respiratory Therapist Registered (RT PEDS)
Location: Walla Walla, Washington
Shift: Nights, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 48 hours per week
Start Date: 08/10/2026
Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NRP (preferred); Washington license required in hand
Experience: 0 years minimum experience, including Certification (ACLS, BLS, NRP preferred), and valid Washington license in hand
Patient Population: Neonates, Infants, Pediatrics, Adults, Geriatrics
Patient Census: Approximately 60 visits per day
Special Procedures/Unit Details: Ventilator management, incentive spirometry, catheterizations, high flow therapy, BiPAP, CPAP, blood gas analysis, and tracheostomy care
Interdisciplinary Support: Physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, radiology, pharmacy, social services, lift teams, rapid response teams
Additional Responsibilities: Assist with high risk deliveries, trauma support, and emergency procedures; floating between units may be required for staffing needs
Scheduling: Block schedule; on-call is required if placed on call, with a 30-minute response time
Float: Float rotation may be required if applicable
Module Completion: Requires completion of non-billable modules averaging 16 hours, with approval needed for hours exceeding 20 hours
