Job Summary:
Respiratory Therapist Registered (RT PEDS) is needed for a contract position located in Austin, Texas. This role involves providing specialized respiratory care within a pediatric unit, supporting patient management with a focus on ventilator management and oxygen therapy. The position offers a dynamic clinical environment and an opportunity to contribute to patient recovery in a fast-paced setting.

Job Details:

• Location: Austin, Texas
• Shift: Night shift, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week
• Start Date: 09/07/2026
• Required Qualifications: Certifications and Education Requirements include AC Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) or Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT), BLS (Basic Life Support), and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support). No minimum years of experience required.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience in Pediatric Respiratory Therapy, NICU, or PICU settings. Skills in ventilator management, oxygen therapy, and working within pediatric patient populations are highly desirable.
• Additional Information: Responsibilities involve managing pediatric ventilators, oxygen delivery devices, and providing respiratory assessments. The unit typically features high patient acuity requiring vigilant monitoring and adherence to protocols. The dress code includes scrub tops in olive green and black bottoms.
