Description

Job Summary:
Respiratory Therapist (Registered) - San Francisco, CA. This position involves performing therapeutic, diagnostic, and emergency respiratory care procedures for patients with respiratory insufficiencies or abnormalities. The role requires exercising sound judgment, developing clinical skills to provide input to the patient's plan of care, and ensuring timely treatment and assessment. All adult services including emergency room, respiratory therapy, and ICU will be part of the responsibilities.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: 3 x 12 night shifts, 7:00 PM 7:30 AM, minimum of 36 hours per week.
  • Required Qualifications: Valid California State Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license, NBRC (National Board for Respiratory Care) certification in Respiratory Therapy (RRT), BLS (American Heart Association), ACLS, PALS, NRP certifications, and a minimum of 3 years of experience in adult critical care.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Previous travel experience, community hospital experience, and tube/bypass skills.
  • Additional Information: The selected candidate will support interdisciplinary respiratory services, manage various respiratory procedures, and work with adult and geriatric patient populations in a high-acuity setting. Candidates should have experience with charting systems such as Epic and demonstrate competencies in arterial punctures, intubation assist, mechanical ventilation, and emergency respiratory care procedures.
